The association Austrian Service Abroad is a non-profit initiative, founded in 1998 by Andreas Maislinger. The organisation provides placements for an alternative Austrian national service all over the world. The regular nine month alternative national service is substituted by a 12-month service at one of its partner organisations abroad.
The organisation caters for three different types of services: Holocaust Memorial Service, Social Service and Peace Service.
